Crisis Services
DescriptionProvides services for clients experiencing psychiatric and/or drug/alcohol emergencies. Crisis workers provide telephone support, referral information, and comprehensive assessment. MCES is the sole designated facility in Montgomery County to handle involuntary (302) commitments. Treatment TeamTrained and experienced crisis workers, as well as a psychiatrist on-site 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Program Goals· Empower our clients to stabilize their lives.· Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment.· Provide crisis intervention services to clients and families via phone and/or in person.· Assist clients who contact the County 911 system for psychiatric difficulties.· Make appropriate recommendations for whether inpatient or outpatient treatment or assist in finding appropriate resources.Program ServicesAssessment: Crisis Workers and psychiatrist conduct a comprehensive assessment. Clients with medical conditions are assessed by a physician assistant or psychiatrist and/or are referred to a local general hospital for further evaluation/treatment.Treatment Recommendations: After each evaluation, clients and families are given recommendations that may consist of: · Referral to MCES Inpatient Program· Referral to another inpatient facility, if indicated· Referral to a private psychiatrist and/or community outpatient program· Referral to the MCES Outpatient Program· Referral to a medical hospital for treatment of any medical conditions.· Referral to Crisis Residential Program· Referral to MCES's Mobile Crisis Intervention ServicePayment/Billing Information· MCES never refuses service based on the inability to pay. |
