Welcome to Montgomery County Emergency Service, Inc. (MCES).

We are a free-standing non-profit behavioral health service provider, serving

southeastern Pennsylvania residents and other communities since 1974.



MCES is a provider of a comprehensive array of clinical, educational, and outreach services related to the needs of:

  • Individuals and families experiencing a behavioral health crisis as a result of a serious mental illness or substance abuse or both.
  • Individuals with serious mental illness who are involved with the criminal justice system.
The purpose of our website is to give information about our services and programs and the community needs and issues that we address for consumers, providers, and payers.

MCES will have an unannounced survey by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in 2009. JCAHO standards deal with organization quality, safety of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided
