American Psychiatric Association Achievement Award


Description


Provides evaluation, consultation, counseling, psychotherapy, medication follow-up and when appropriate, referral for clients experiencing a psychiatric and/or drug and alcohol problem that can be met at this level of care.

Treatment Team


Uses a multidisciplinary treatment team approach consisting of crisis workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, and physician assistants. All are trained and experienced in treating adolescents, adults, and elders with emotional problems.

Program Services


Assessment: Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and physical examination as needed when evaluated.

Individual Therapy: Individual and/or family therapy by a psychiatrist of psychologist. Frequency and type of therapy is determined on an individual basis, commonly once a week.

Medication management: Evaluation for the need for medication and is educated on these medications.

Cultural Competence: Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Tagalog, Hindi, Yiddish, and Hungarian.

Payment/Billing Information

  • MCES never refuses services based on the inability to pay.
  • VISA, Mastercard, personal check, money order, and cash are acceptable for the client's portion of the bill.
  • For certain ongoing outpatient services, clients can apply for a sliding fee scale.
  • If pre-certification is obtained, most health insurance companies will pay for MCES outpatient charges.
